"The Redondo family is suffering the devastating loss of their little angel, 2-month-old Baby Bella," says the GoFundMe effort organized by Becky DaMenace. "The family was completely unprepared for such a loss of a child at such a young age," the post says. "This campaign is dedicated to assist them with funeral expenses and lost wages from time missed from work.

"The Redondo family would like to take Bella back to her father's hometown and bury her with her grandmother in Florida."

The death of Bella Redondo death has been ruled a homicide, police said. The New Canaan baby was rushed by ambulance from Little Bears Beginnings Daycare to Stamford Hospital on Tuesday afternoon with breathing problems.

She was declared dead a couple of hours later, and an autopsy determined she died of blunt force trauma to the head. No arrests have been made in the case, but police are continuing the criminal investigation.

Bella Redondo was born on April 24, 2016, and lived on Locust Avenue in New Canaan with her parents, Fernando and Katy Redondo, and two sisters and one brother.

"We know there are no words to be able to comfort grieving parents. Baby Bella, gone too soon," the GoFundMe page says.
