Mars follows General Mills, who removed both artificial colors and flavors, and joins a dozen companies voluntarily joining the natural bandwagon, according to Huffington Post.

Getting rid of all artificial colors from its portfolio of foods is a massive undertaking that Mars CEO said will take up to five years, reports Huffington Post. Over 50 brands will be affected.

Consumer demand for natural ingredients is driving the change although artificial colors aren’t linked to health issues, says Huffington Post.
