In 2013, more than 2,200 babies were delivered at Greenwich Hospital.  With the addition of Drs. Robert Armbruster, Paula Brignoni Blume, Jordan Hirsch and Joshua Waldman, whose WESTMED practice is located at 73 Market St., Ridge Hill, Yonkers that number is expected to increase significantly in the coming year.

To accommodate the anticipated increase, the hospital is in the process of expanding the footprint of its nursery, level-three Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (Perinatology) rooms. “The changes are designed to ultimately handle between 2,500 and 3,000 births,” said Susan Brown, RN, senior vice president, Patient Care Services.

“We’re thrilled to offer our high-quality maternity services to an even greater number of families in Westchester County.”

Armbruster, a Bedford resident, earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Blume, a Bronxville resident, holds a medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine.  She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Hirsch, a Briarcliff resident, earned his medical degree at SUNY Downstate Medical College.  He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Waldman, a Scarsdale resident, holds a medical degree from Albany Medical College. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
