High Winds May Hit New Canaan Saturday

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — After our surprise shot of snow, winds could blow 30 mph, with gusts reaching 50 mph, late Friday night and throughout Saturday.

"Driving will be difficult for high profile vehicles ... especially on elevated highways and bridges. There is also the potential for tree branches and possibly small trees to be brought down," the National Weather Service says in a wind advisory issued for Fairfield County.

Saturday and Sunday should be partly sunny with highs in the mid- to low-40s, the Weather Service says. Sunday should be less windy.
