NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A New Canaan restaurant is temporarily closed because of a small kitchen fire Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded just before 2 p.m. Friday to Sushi 25 restaurant at 25 Elm St., Fire Marshal Fred Baker said. Firefighters noticed a small fire in the kitchen and a moderate smoke condition, Baker said.
The fire was quickly put out, and no damage was done to the building, he said. Sushi 25 will be closed until Monday, Assistant Manager Nina Manville said.
One restaurant employee was treated for slight burns by New Canaan EMS.
