Lanes To Close For Paving On Route 123 In New Canaan

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 123 in New Canaan as a milling and resurfacing project begins Sunday, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation. 

Route 123 will be repaved from about the Merritt Parkway up to Route 106 in New Canaan.

This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, June 26, through Monday, July 18. 

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 123 from the Norwalk town line to Route 106/Silvermine Road, DOT said. 

Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. 

The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sundays through Thursdays. 

The schedule may be modified or extended if needed due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions, DOT said. 

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
