Learn Do's and Don'ts of Dressing for Success

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – If you think jeans and flip-flops are appropriate "business casual" attire, you might want to attend Wednesday night's "Dress for Success" seminar at the Bank of New Canaan.

The program, subtitled "Tricks & Tools for that Pulled Together Look," will be given by image consultant Dianne Boras from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the bank's Elm Street office. Boras will discuss creating a look that will get you noticed, at work and in everyday life. The interactive program will include topics such as clothing colors, style, fit, accessories and provide tools to determine what constitutes appropriate business attire for various career paths. Attendees are encouraged to wear or bring an outfit to be critiqued.

Boras, who works for Vada Image, attended the Image Resource Center of New York. She holds an MBA from Sacred Heart University and a BS in marketing from Ramapo College. She has presented for The Women's Summit at Bryant University and is on the faculty of The Women's Campaign School at Yale University. Those interested in attending the presentation are asked to RSVP to the bank at 203-652-6319. Refreshments will be served.
