New Canaan Continues Search For Permanent Home For Post Office

NEW CANNAN, Conn. –  Officials continue searching for a new permanent home to house the New Canaan Post Office, with six months remaining on a lease at its interim location at 90 Main St., according to the New Canaan Advertiser.

The post office left its historic home at 2 Pine St. in January. That location now houses Mrs. Green’s Natural Market. 

New Canaan politicians and developers have sparred over potential locations, but no decision has been agreed upon. However, U.S. Rep. Jim Himes believes the situation will be resolved soon.

On Nov. 6, he with First Selectman Rob Mallozzi III and Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tucker Murphy to discuss the matter, according to the New Canaan Advertiser
