- New Canaan’s private equity firm Gridiron Capital announced that one of its portfolio companies, Quality Solutions Inc., closed on the acquisition of National Services Inc.
- New Canaan's Brian J. Kelley is set to serve as the new chief executive officer for snom, a developer of IP desktop business phones.
- Luis Alomar, 37, a fugitive suspected in a string of bank robberies along the Eastern Seaboard, including possibly in Westchester and Fairfield counties, was arrested in Medford, Long Island, N.Y.
- A 43-year-old New Canaan man faces assault charges on an elderly person in addition to a number of other charges after allegedly using his father's car without permission and punching his mother's arm.
