NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- New Canaan is looking to transform a building nestled behind Town Hall into "The Hub," a multi-faceted community facility that will be used for myriad uses, according to the NCAdvertiser.

The plan for the transformation of the building, which is owned by a nonprofit and sits on town land, is being headed by a group of citizens along with city officials, said the NCAdvertiser.

Currently operated by the anchor tenant Abilis, an agency that serves persons with disabilities that will continue in the same location, others additional uses for the 6,000-square-foot-space include renting it to groups for civic and social activities for youth, lectures, adult education, senior activities and hosting catered events, reported the NCAdvertiser.
