New Canaan Offices, Schools Closed For Presidents Day

NEW CANAAN, Conn.  – The Presidents Day holiday means several significant closings in New Canaan on Monday.

New Canaan Town Hall offices will be closed for the day. The closure also affects Vine Cottage, which houses the Human Services Office.  The town’s offices at Irwin Park, which houses the Planning and Zoning, Inland Wetlands and Building departments, will also be closed on Monday and reopen Tuesday morning.

New Canaan Library will also be closed on Monday.

New Canaan Public Schools will have a half day on Friday and will be closed Monday for the holiday. They will remain closed for the rest of the week as part of the district’s winter break. Classes will resume on Feb. 25.

St. Aloysius School is also closed next week for Presidents Day and winter break. St. Luke’s School will be closed Monday. New Canaan Country School will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
