NEW CANAAN, Conn. James OHora is returning as chairman of the New Canaan Republican Town Committee.
OHora headlines the newly elected Town Committee leadership team, which also includes Vice Chairman Kevin Moynihan, Secretary E. Irene Barrack and Treasurer William Ostendorf. This will be OHora's third term on the Republican committee. He is a 15-year resident of New Canaan and senior managing editor of OmniCap.
It's both a privilege and humbling to be re-elected chairman of the New Canaan Republican Town Committee, OHora said. We have again seated many new and dedicated members that are enormously talented and accomplished individuals that will keep the RTC vibrant for many years to come. I look forward to continuing to build on the great tradition of being a New Canaan Republican.
Moynihan is in his first term on the committee. He is a retired corporate attorney who worked for investment banks in New York and Chicago for 32 years after three years with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington. Moynihan has lived in New Canaan for 30 years.
Barrack, a 41-year resident of New Canaan, is serving her 12th term on the Republican committee. She is a past president of both the former New Canaan Womans Club and the former New Canaan Republican Womens Club.
Ostendorf is serving his first term as a town Republican leader. He is an attorney and has had an office in New Canaan since 1991. Ostendorf has lived in New Canaan for 21 years and has served on various community boards, including the Board of Directors of the Outback Teen Center.
