The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the area, which will include strong winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 70 mph, coastal flooding and cold weather. Snow and rain will be likely throughout Wednesday and into Thursday morning.

A high wind watch and coastal flooding watch will be in effect from Wednesday morning through Thursday morning. Temperatures will be in the 30s and 40s during the day and into the 20s at night.

Strong winds bring a potential for more downed trees and wires. Trees or branches weakened during Hurricane Sandy might fall. The coastal flooding could cause more damage to beaches and waterside homes with potential waves of four to six feet.

The service suggests that anyone still without power seek warm shelter.
