NORWALK, Conn. — You can look for the first signs of spring on a free Norwalk River Watershed Association walk set for New Canaan on March 23.

David Havens will help nature lovers find emerging amphibians — one of the first signs of the changing seasons — in ponds in New Canaan. Salamanders, newts, frogs and toads are among the animal life returning to the area's spring ponds.

Walkers should meet at 1 p.m. at the first parking lot on the right, behind the ball field at St. Luke’s School, 377 North Wilton Road, New Canaan.

For more information or to make reservations, call the Norwalk River Watershed Association at 1-877-NRWA-INFO (877-679-2463).

Poor Glen:

Do not hold your breath. The guy on WX Edge say we will get a big snow storm on next Wednesday. really unfair. I'd like to give the NWS a piece of my mind. Oh...actually I JUST did a few minutes ago. Boy, did I write them and lay it on the line. about how this weather is so unfair to us all.
