Ponus Ridge Road Area To Lose Power For Repairs

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – Connecticut Light & Power will hold off making circuit repairs on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan until after 3 p.m. Thursday because the power cutoff will affect West School, town officials said today.

As cleanup and power restoration work continues for a second day, CL&P will delay replacing some equipment in the Ponus Ridge area until classes are over for the day, spokesman Mitch Gross said. Approximately 295 customers in the area, including the school, will be affected for two to three hours, Gross said.

Power has been restored to most customers who lost it during Tuesday’s heavy winds and thunderstorms.
