Halloween Storm May Be Headed For New Canaan

The trajectory of Hurricane Sandy is difficult to determine, weathermen say, but they're saying it is probable that Fairfield County will at least feel something from the storm. Photo Credit: Courtesy of Accuweather.com

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Hurricane Sandy could come up toward Fairfield County for another Halloween Storm, the National Weather Service predicts. Or it might not be that strong.

“There is low potential for a major coastal storm with heavy rainfall, high winds, coastal flooding,” the weather forecast said at about 3 p.m. Wednesday. That was a big difference from earlier in the day, when the projections called for strong storms to come up the coast.

The National Weather Service admitted that the storm forecast could change again depending on a low pressure system from the middle of the country.

Since Hurricane Sandy is still in the Caribbean, the “forecast confidence is still low” and any potential storms for the area are several days away, the weather service said.

Let hope CLP's lineman are not on strike! That would be fun!

Let us hope if this does happen that Moccia and his band of idiots are more prepared than past storms. Lets us not forget the little wind storm a few year ago in March when school was closed and residents were without power for a week. If I remember correctly our fearless leader moccia was cutting a ribbon at the new McDonald at the time..PRIORITIES....
