The plans submitted are for a two-story building with 8,220 square feet of space that would be built at 18-26 Locust St., the report said. The federal-style building would include 19 parking spaces, the New Canaan News reported.

The New Canaan post office left its home at 2 Pine St. in January 2014 and has been operating out of a temporary location on Main Street with no designated parking.
