State Police at Troop G in Bridgeport were notified and responded to the state-run school.

"This is an untimely death with no criminal aspect, not suspicious," Grant said. "This incident originated as a medical service call." It was due to a "medical condition," she said.

The girl’s identity was not released.

A Stamford police source said the girl, who had asthma, appeared to have trouble breathing before possibly going into cardiac arrest, according to the Stamford Advocate.
