Three Men Charged With Robbery in New Canaan

Three men believed to be involved in Jan. 25 robbery  were arrested Friday by New Canaan Police.

Joel A. Anderson, 22, of Lakeview Avenue, and Mark D. Hoyt, 22, of Sunrise Avenue, Fairfield, were charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and larceny. Thomas Sarantos, 22, of Millport Avenue, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit larceny.

Further information was not available on Saturday.

All three men were ordered held on $250,000 bond and are scheduled to appear March 15 in Norwalk Superior Court.

Bicyclist Injured In New Canaan Accident

NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A bicyclist was injured Tuesday afternoon after an accident on Ponus Ridge Road in New Canaan, police said.

The cyclist sustained a hand injury and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said.

There was no vehicle involved, and the cause of the accident was unknown, she said.
