FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Grocery store chain Trader Joe's has issued a recall on select packages of its sweet apple chicken sausage for possible contamination with small pieces of plastic.

Packages with "Use or Freeze By" dates of April 22, 2015; April 25, 2015; and April 29, 2015 could be affected. 

Anyone who may have purchased some of the possibly contaminated product can return it to Trader Joe's for a full refund. 

Trader Joe's are located in the area in Danbury, Darien, Stamford, Westport and Fairfield.
