The broken main was reported at 5:40 a.m. on Arch Street across from Horseneck Lane.
The driveway ramp to Greenwich Plaza and the train station is closed, Greenwich Police said.
Access to the train station is available from all other points (Raiload Avenue, Steamboat, and Arch Street stairs).
