Soccorso was born Dec. 26, 1918, in the Bronx, N,Y., to Carmine and Margherita Brocco Cipollone, she came to reside with her daughter, in New Canaan, 18 years ago. She was a member of St. Aloysius Parish, the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Ann’s Club Auxiliary.
Soccorso is survived by her daughter, Margaret Sandstrom (John) of New Canaan; brother, Anthony Latini, of Ridge, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and siblings, Rose Ussia, Josephine Parr, Michael, Ralph and Anthony Cipollone, Anita Clay, Mabel Pawlowski, Albert and Nazarone Latini.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Aloysius Church, 21 Cherry St., New Canaan. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien.
