Wilford was born Jan. 17, 1926, in Bridgeport, to Edward and Frances Meriman Roberts. After graduating from Connecticut College she went to work in New York City at Columbia Artists Management Inc. She married Ronald A Wilford. After her marriage she returned to Connecticut, in 1976 and worked for Community Concerts. She was a long time member of the Fairfield County Hunt Club.
Wilford is survived by her son, Chris (Meredith); and a granddaughter. She was predeceased by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26 at St Mark’s Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT 06840. Interment will be private in the family plot in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
