NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Lois Evelyn Arthur joined her soul mate of 61 years, Roger Lawrence Arthur, on June 22, 2015.
Arthur is survived by her children, Larry Arthur and wife Kerry of Sandy Hook, Holly Arthur of Hyde Park, Mass., Betsy Wilson and her fiancé Dan of Groton, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a cousin.
She was born in Laconia, N.H., on March 4, 1921, to Lois and Clinton Brown. She graduated from Simmons College in 1943.
She was active in the New Canaan Congregational Church as a member of the Lend a Hand committee, as well as teaching Sunday school. She retired from the Union Trust Bank in New Canaan.
There will be a funeral service at noon Saturday at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the service.
