NEW CANAAN, Conn. - Lois V. Inwood, a lifelong resident of New Canaan, died Friday, June 28. She was 88.
Inwood was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Vista, N.Y., daughter of James and Nellie Westcott Jordan. She was a celebrated athlete at New Canaan high school lettering in softball, basketball and field hockey and she was also a cheerleader.
Inwood is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Ambruso of Prospect; sons, James T. Inwood (Suellen), and Barry Inwood both of Trumbull; brothers, Albert Jordan of Fla., and David Jordan of N.Y. ; sister, Barbara Apy of New Canaan; four grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James H. Inwood; brothers, John Jordan, William Jordan, Ralph Jordan, Robert Jordan; and sister, Dorothy Court.
