Ruth Goss, 86, New Canaan YWCA Art Teacher

GREENWICH, Conn. – Ruth Yanosik Goss, a lifelong Greenwich resident, died Nov. 20 at her home. She was 86.

Goss was born Nov. 6, 1926, to George Colvin Yanosik and Elizabeth Truewood Hendren. She attended public schools, graduating from Greenwich High School in 1944. She later graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts.

She is survived by her husband of more than 60 years, Dean L. Goss; four children, Wendy G. Salisbury, of Norwalk, Judith G. Goss, of Greenwich, Dean C. Goss, of Greenwich, and Martha W. Cava, of Roxbury; and six grandchildren.
