NEW CANAAN, Conn. - William L. Anthony Jr. (Bill), of New Canaan died Thursday, June 5. He was 43.
Anthony was born March 26, 1971, in Greenwich, he was the beloved son of Dana Anthony and William L. Anthony Sr. He graduated from New Canaan High School in 1989. He was employed by TJ Maxx. He was employed by Bob’s Sports of New Canaan during his high school years and continued his employment there for many years following his graduation. He had also been employed by Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan. He was a member of the Sycamore Knights Street Rod and Hot Rod Club.
Anthony is survived by his mother, Dana Anthony of Trumbull; sister, Barbara (Michael) Wells of Shelton; nephew and nieces; aunts, Elizabeth Anthony Woodfine, Dianne Reich and Dean (Lynne) Dallmann; and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, William l. Anthony Sr.; paternal grandparents, Attorney Lloyd W. Anthony and Elizabeth Anthony of Greenwich; and maternal grandparents, William and Barbara Dallmann of Mass.
A brief graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14 at Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan. A celebration of life will follow beginning at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 178 Oenoke Ridge Road, New Canaan 06840.
