To the editor:
On behalf of all whom Waveny LifeCare Network serves, I would like to thank the New Canaan Sewing Group for awarding us grants this year in support of our Rehabilitation Services Program.
The money will be used to upgrade our Balance System SD, which is a simple, effective and versatile balance testing and training tool suitable for rehabilitation of patients and residents at Waveny – on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
The system performs balance assessments, re-assessments comparing ability to age related norms and offers five interactive training modes that are used to enhance kinesthetic abilities.
Furthermore, the system generates objective, concrete reports with measurable outcomes that the insurance companies look with favor upon when determining the type and length of care a patient requires.
Please extend ‘heartfelt thanks’ to everyone in your organizations for making these gifts possible this year. We are grateful for your belief in Waveny’s mission, and we promise to continue to provide the highest level of care to the people we serve.
