Update: The crash scene has been cleared and all lanes of East Putnam Avenue have reopened, police said.

original story: GREENWICH, Conn. — Ten people were taken to the hospital after a CTTransit bus accident Wednesday morning in Greenwich, according to the police.

The CTTransit Bus accident happened just before 11 a.m. at the busy intersection of Sound Beach Avenue and East Putnam Avenue, police said on Twitter.

Police said there were "minor injuries only" in the accident, although 10 people were taken to a local hospital.

Police, fire and EMS crews were on the scene, and one land is closed in the area.
