NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A man in a white Nissan Maxima stole a set of high-end jumper cables from a Gulf gas station in New Canaan on Wednesday, Feb. 5, according to Patch.com.

The suspect asked to buy jumper cables, but because the station didn't have any, the gas station attendant offered to loan the man a pair, Patch.com reported.

The suspect never returned the cables, which were worth $400, Patch.com said.
