DARIEN, Conn. -- An Audi stolen in Newtown earlier this month was recovered last week on Huckleberry Lane in Darien.
Police said that a Huckleberry Lane resident called to report an abandoned vehicle on the morning of Monday, April 10. The vehicle had been parked on the street since the day before, police said.
The car, a gray 2015 Audi A4, had been left with its driver's door slightly ajar and contents strewn about the vehicle, police said. It was found that it had been reported stolen in Newtown on April 7. It was secured and later processed by Newtown Police.
Darien Police said that the investigation into the recovery, and its potential ties to other criminal activity in Darien and around Fairfield County, is ongoing. The vehicle was recovered in good condition.
