Bridgeport Police ID Teen Shot Dead In Apparent Robbery

BRIDGEPORT Conn. -- Bridgeport Police have identified a man found shot to death in an apparent robbery Wednesday afternoon as 18-year-old Jeri Kollock of Bridgeport.

Police said that Kollock was the victim of a robbery at around 4:30 p.m. in the stairwell of Building 1 of the Green Homes housing project. He was forced to strip naked and remove his jewelry before he was shot multiple times, police said.

Police said that after he was shot, Kollock fled down the stairs to the basement, where he collapsed. He managed to drag himself to the door over the next 45 minutes, where he emerged yelling for help. However, he died before medics could arrive.
