Danbury Police: Two Arrested In Knife Fight After All-Night Drinking Binge

DANBURY, Conn. -- Two men were arrested and taken to the hospital after a man walked along Main Street by the Danbury Police Department while bleeding on his face and carrying a broken knife Monday morning, police said.

When Adan Morales, 31, of Danbury, was spotted at about 9 a.m., he told officers he had gotten into a fight with another man after spending about 16 hours drinking with him at a nearby residence, police said. 

Morales said he got into a fight with Marcos Kalle, 26, of Danbury, after Marcos pulled a knife out and stabbed him in the neck while they were drinking at a home at 7 Patch St., police said. They had been drinking since 5 p.m. Sunday, police said.  

Morales said he had to defend himself against Marcos and in doing so he cut Marcos with the knife, police said.

Officers went to the residence, where they found blood leading up to the rear apartment, police said.

No one responded, and officers forced their way in, police said.

Kalle was found in a closet, bleeding from a hand injury, police said.

Morales said he and Morales had been drinking when the two got into a fight, police said. Kalle said Morales grabbed a knife and tried to attack him, police said.  Kalle said he tried to defend himself at which time in doing so he stabbed Morales, police said.

Both Morales and Kalle were transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Each was charged with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct and held on $100,000 bond, police said.
