Darien Woman Pleads Guilty To Stealing Millions In Jewelry From Tiffany

DARIEN, Conn. -- A Darien woman who was an executive at Tiffany & Co. pleaded guilty Friday to stealing more than $2 million worth of jewelry from her former employer, NBC News reported on its website

"Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun went from a vice president at a high-end jewelry company to jewel thief,” U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said at the time of the Darien woman's arrest.

Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun, 46, a former vice president of product development, pleaded guilty to interstate transportation of stolen property. She could face three to four years in prison and must make millions in restitution.
