William J. Connelly, 61, was charged with one count of risk of injury to a minor, three counts of second-degree breach of peace and three counts of public indecency, police said. The arrest stems from three separate incidents on the beach.

On Sept 26, the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau released photos of a man involved in the incidents. With the help of media outlets and the public, the man was identified as Connelly, who has had several similar incidents in other communities, police said.

Connelly was released on $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 7.

Fairfield police thanked the public for their help, as well as the juvenile victims, parents and witnesses who came forward to cooperate with the investigation.
