Marc Minella, 35, of Darien, who was arrested in March by New Canaan Police on a felony charge of issuing a bad check, had been picked up by Darien Police and held for New Canaan on July 10, Sgt. Carol Ogrinc said. She was unsure of why he was in custody with Darien Police.
The suspect was charged with first-degree failure to appear and posted a $5,000 bond, Ogrinc said. He is now scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 19, she said.
Minella was held by New Canaan Police for West Haven Police who picked him up and charged him with misdemeanor charges of issuing a bad check $250 to $500, issuing bad check under $250, and fifth degree larceny, the state’s judicial website said. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in Milford on those charges on July 23, the website said.
