Greenwich Police Divers Resume Search For Evidence At Binney Park

GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich police returned Thursday to the site in Binney Park where human remains were discovered in April to continue to scour for evidence.

Officers are continuing to search the waters in Binney Park in connection with the case, looking for evidence or more remains, police said. Divers were on the scene, along with other officers, with the dive van parked nearby on Thursday morning.

On the morning of Wednesday, April 26, Greenwich Town Parks employees were clearing debris from a wooded area in the park when they discovered what appeared to be human remains, police said. 

Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that they were indeed human remains, but said they were "not from a recent event."
