Reynolds was first sworn in to the Greenwich Police Department in August 1986. He started as a patrol officer and was promoted five times throughout his career. Reynolds finished his career as section sergeant of Community Impact Officers, a position he has held since 2006.
Reynolds received Chief Commendations for investigations and apprehensions in a wide array of situations, including larceny investigations, the capture of escaped convicts, the arrest of Connecticut’s No. 1 “Deadbeat Dad” and for delivering a baby.
Reynolds will continue to serve the town as a special police officer. He was sworn in on Sept. 5.
