Mount Kisco firefighters were joined by their colleagues at the Mount Kisco Volunteer Volunteer Ambulance Corps, members of the Village Board of Trustees and Westchester County Police. Former Fire Chief Mario Muccioli served as the parade's grand marshal.
Scores of fire departments from around the region were represented in the parade.
Close neighboring fire departments included Chappaqua, Millwood, Bedford Hills, Katonah, Bedford, Pound Ridge and Armonk.
Firefighters arriving from further out in Westchester County included Ossining, Pleasantville, Thornwood, Valhalla, Harrison and Mamaroneck.
Greenwich, New Canaan and Mill Plain (Danbury) firefighters came from Connecticut. The farthest-traveling fire department, however, was from Westerly, R.I., which arrived with a pair of antique trucks.
A slew of marching bands also participated.
The parade came roughly a day after a shooting in Dallas claimed the lives of multiple police. Bedford Hills firefighters paid tribute to the fallen firefighters by crossing out truck numbers with blue lines and displaying a Texas state flag on the back of a ladder vehicle.
The parade went north on Route 117 before turning west on Route 133. it then headed onto South Moger Avenue before turning east to Green Street, where it concluded.
