A 21-year-old Fairfield County man surrendered himself into police custody in New Canaan after being involved in an alleged domestic incident late last year.
Officers from the New Canaan Police Department received a complaint of domestic abuse and a threatening incident involving New Canaan resident Theodore Dumbauld in December, which led to a police investigation.
According to police, the investigation led to an arrest warrant for Dumbauld on a charge of second-degree threatening.
Dumbauld surrendered himself to investigators at the New Canaan Police Department at approximately 6:22 a.m. on Monday morning, and is currently being held on $10,000 bond. Police said that due to the domestic nature of the incident, no additional information is expected to be released. Dumbauld is due back in court on Monday afternoon to answer the charge.
