New Canaan Parent Charged With Impaired Operation At School Pickup

NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- A parent was arrested on charges of showing up drunk at a New Canaan school Thursday afternoon, police said.

Officers were called to Saxe Middle School in New Canaan just before 2 p.m. on a report that an intoxicated parent was at the school to pick up her child, police said.

Carol A. Sung, 52, of 136 Harrison Ave., New Canaan, was charged with operating under the influence, police said.

She was released on $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 19.
