Police are asking for assistance from the public after a resident reported finding "the severed head of a cat resting just by the end of the common driveway" on Laurel Road on Oct. 14, according to the Patch report. An Autumn Lane woman later reported finding the "severed head of a bird on her patio" on Oct. 17, according to the Patch report.

Officials with the police told Patch that the "remnants showed the head had been 'intentionally severed,'" according to the report.
