NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- With the help of surveillance cameras, New Canaan police gave tickets to two people for driving past school buses that had stopped to drop off or pick up children, according to Patch.com .
The cameras, which are attached to the school buses, are able to capture images of license plates of cars that illegally pass buses that are stopped with flashing lights, police told Patch.com.
Police track down the driver and issue a ticket that carries a fine of $460, according to Patch.com.
A Darien driver was ticketed after an incident May 22 near Lapham Road and Talmadge Hill Road, and a Norwalk driver was ticketed May 20 near 174 Jelliff Mill Road and Shady Knoll Lane, police told Patch.com.
