NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Spooked by a deliveryman he thought was the police coming to arrest him, a suspect in a New Canaan jewelry store smash-and- grab last year committed suicide by shooting himself in his Brooklyn, N.Y., apartment on Halloween, police said.

Police also announced they are looking for another suspect in the case.

Ralik Hansen, 28, who was also known as "Ratchet," was wanted in the Nov. 6, 2013, robbery at Henry C. Reid & Son Jewelers at 72 Elm St. The front window was smashed with a sledgehammer, and three Rolex watches worth $55,000 each were stolen. An alert employee locked the front door to prevent the suspects from entering the store.

Hansen was also wanted in connection with a Jan. 30 robbery at a Cartier store in midtown Manhattan that netted the robbers $700,000 in watches, police said.

Four other suspects in the New Canaan case -- Roberto Grant, 33, Ronald McIntyre, 36, Sean Robinson, 42, and Allen Williams, 35 -- are all in federal custody awaiting trial, according to a press release issued Thursday by New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.

Two new suspects have also been identified by police in the New Canaan robbery. Ryan Campbell, 36, also known as “Shaky,” of New Jersey is in federal custody on other charges.

Courtney Hardin, 25, of Brooklyn, N.Y., also known as "Mazie" or "Mozie," is still at large and is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
