The Ridgefield Police Department issued an alert to residents following multiple reports of money being stolen from parked cars that have been cropping up in recent weeks, including an incident where a credit card and hundreds of dollars were stolen from several cars on Old Sib Road driveways last month.

In each of the instances, the cars were unlocked and parked. Police said that residents should remember to lock their doors, remove keys from the car and take any valuables indoor to avoid becoming a victim. No suspects or surveillance photos have been released. Anyone who believes their car may have been broken into can contact Ridgefield police investigators by calling (203) 438-6531.
