Norwalk Cops: Stamford Man Cut Elderly Family Member, Then Stabbed Himself

NORWALK, Conn. — A Stamford man was arrested after he tried to stab an elderly relative at a home in Norwalk, then turned the knife on himself, The Hour said.

The incident occurred the morning of Aug. 6, as Christos Bellios, 56, argued with the family member and grabbed a knife, The Hour said. 

The female family member sustained superficial, but Bellios stabbed himself multiple times, causing serious stab wounds to his chest, The Hour said.

Bellios was arrested after he was released from the hospital Friday and charged with second-degree assault against a victim 60 years old or older, carrying a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct, The Hour said.
