NEW CANAAN, Conn. — A 26-year-old man who was found asleep behind the wheel of a car has been arrested on a heroin possession charge, New Canaan police said.
At 12:10 a.m. July 1, New Canaan officers were called to the Frogtown Road on a report of a vehicle in a driveway with its engine running and the driver asleep, said Chief of Police Leon Krolikowski.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a quantity of heroin, Krolikowski said.
The driver, Agron Sabovic, of 109 Knapp Lane, New Canaan, was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics (heroin), the chief said.
Sabovic was released on $250 cash bond for a court appearance date in Norwalk Superior Court of July 14.
