Stamford Man Charged With Punching Child, Swinging Samurai Sword At Family

STAMFORD, Conn. — A 44-year-old Stamford man punched a special needs child in the face and then threatened the child's family with a samurai sword, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that Albert Sistrunk got into an altercation with the child and hit the child in the mouth. When the child's family confronted him, he went to their apartment with the sword and swung it at them, according to the Stamford Advocate.

He hit one person in the arm with the sword, and punched another person in the face before the family was able to get the sword away from him, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Sistrunk was arrested on felony charges of assault and risk of injury to a minor, according to the Stamford Advocate.
