The arrests were part of an undercover operation where officers purchased heroin and crack, the Stamford Advocate reported. Police raided the Americas Best Value motel, and upon seeing officers two of the suspects tried to throw away drugs, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Police also had a search warrant for one of the rooms at the motel, and when they entered they found Michael Edwards, 21, inside with a gun on the desk, according to the Stamford Advocate.

Inside the motel room police found 9.4 grams of crack and 20 grams of heroin, all packaged for sale, as well as 20 tablets of antidepressant medication and 16 ounces of Fentanyl, along with a scale and more than $1,000 in cash, according to the Stamford Advocate.
