Two Face Charges After Stops At Stamford Sobriety Checkpoint

Two local men are facing charges after police conducted a sobriety checkpoint in Stamford late Friday night into early Saturday morning.

The checkpoint was at 626 Glenbrook Road in Stamford.

The checkpoint was at 626 Glenbrook Road and began around 11:30 p.m. and lasted more than an hour.

Charged were:

  • Mamuka Simonishvilli, 52, of Bedford Street, Stamford, operating under the influence and possession of marijuana.
  • William Potolicchio, 64, of Hubbard Avenue, Stamford, operating under the influence and possession of marijuana.

The detail was made possible through a grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
